Tupac..20 Years Later

I can't believe this week marked 20 years since Tupac was killed. I remember he was in the best moment of his career. I was still in my teens and we had lost Biggie and now this?!? Damn...time flies.

I wanted to share with you guys some of my favorite Tupac songs. As many of you know I was born and raised in the hood. I'm not embarrassed to say it. I'm the strong woman I am today due to that. So let's start with 'Dear Mama'..Sighhh! Strong lyrics that hit home. God, I love my mother.

'For a woman it ain't easy trying to raise a man You always was committed A poor single mother on welfare, tell me how ya did it There's no way I can pay you back But the plan is to show you that I understand You are appreciated'

Next up: Changes!

Another one with strong lyrics that still hold truth!

KEEP YA HEAD UP! OMG, you gotta love this song! If you've had a privileged life then these lyrics are something you will never understand. Only us ladies raised in the ghetto get it!

Ladies in the struggle...I feel you. It's not easy but trust me you got this! Ufff...Tupac you nailed it with this one.

This next one makes me laugh. Here's my memory to 'All Eyez On Me'...I was riding around town with my niece a few years ago. Top down..evening wind blowing in our faces and I said put some Tupac. This song came on and I knew all the lyrics. She looked at me like SAY WHAT?!? I'm like I believe in Jesus but I have respect for some gangsta lyrics that speak to me LOL

'Depend on me like the first and fifteenth They might hold me for a second, but these punks won't get me'

'I ain't mad at cha'

Yeah the lyrics to this next one are true playa but it's one of those beats that make me want to get up and dance like Tupac
